Showcase at INDIE WEEK IRELAND, Perform in Lancaster, Tour the Netherlands, and more

Indie Week Ireland 2013 INDIE WEEK IRELAND is an annual music festival that showcases emerging artists in front of music industry professionals who will select one act to headline at INDIE WEEK CANADA 2013 (flights paid for up to 5 band members by INDIE WEEK). Industry professionals from fields ranging from A&R, booking, labels, legal, management, press, and production are on board to determine which European band is the "best of the fest." The top act from every night, as decided discreetly by the judges, performs again at Indie Week's Closing Party where dedicated judges determine who will be going to Toronto in the fall of 2013 for Indie Week Canada, the TENTH anniversary celebration, complete with free flights and accommodation for up to 5 band members. Early pricing ends January 7th. Featured Gigs Score an Awesome Prize Package Six gifted contest winners will choose from six different prize packages, including an exclusive recording session with producer Steve Williams (Sting, Eric Clapton, Seal) in London, England; one week songwriting retreat in Stockholm, Sweden; television and film placement; 8-week US college and community radio promotion; record mixing and mastering; and CD duplication. As part of the prize, selected songs will also be non-exclusively represented by We Are Listening and supported through global digital distribution, sync licensing administration and online promotion. Submissions close June 1st. Perform in Lancaster, UK CME Artist Services is looking for at least 6-10 Sonicbids artists to play up to five shows each at the Lancaster Music Festival in Lancaster, UK. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances. Thousands of people will attend the festival and watch over 100 artists perform in 30 different live venues. Early pricing ends February 28th. Tour the Netherlands The MusicReps are looking to book your next tour in the Netherlands! Gigs will be arranged throughout the Netherlands in venues that are appropriate based on the musical style of the band. Gigs pay 100-150 Euros per show or will be based on door money. The original band formed in 2005 and like most new bands, we've had different talented musicians that represented our band as it evolved. Burning Brains The Band, has always strived to blend classic rock and roll music with heavy metal and occasionally romantic ballads. Our main influences are bands such as Dokken, Keel, Wasp, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest. We've had the honor of being selected as the opening act for concerts in Brazil with headline acts like Angra and Dr. Sin.   As things increasingly became more demanding and of a serious nature, original founding members and songwriters Antonio Augusto Cesar Junior (lead vocalist Jr. Thunder) and guitarist / producer Nelson Torres parted with the former band members to rewrite and re-record all of the Burning Brains songs. Alcyete Caracciolo (Antonio's wife) lends her talents as lyricist and co-writer to the project. The new material and rewritten earlier work is  recorded, engineered and produced in Nelson's studio. There will, undoubtedly be new musicians that form the live performance Burning Brains line-up but for now,  and our first CD Amazon´s on Fire is ready with 11 songs, something we've worked toward for years. So stay tuned and experience the ongoing evolution of our band and our music. Major Scales Hey Fernando, Scales make up everything we do on the guitar. No matter what style you play you'll need to have structure and perform in a key center so that tension and resolution coexist. With a scale, you create this key center and you'll be able to visualize the fingerboard and make more sense out of it. Below you'll find 6 patterns for a major scale. Nesta terça-feira, dia 13 de novembro, o Visca Sabor & Arte recebe a segunda noite da Temporada MPB - Música Preta Baiana.

Vinculada à exposição homônima, da fotógrafa Débora Monteiro, a segunda edição do projeto MPB - Música Preta Baiana - acontece na próxima terça-feira (13) no Visca Sabor & Arte.Com entrada franca, o evento recebe mais cinco músicos fotografados pelo projeto que farão os pocket shows a partir das 20h.

Daniela Tourinho, Val da Mata, Hud, Ronaldo Bonfim e Jorge Hilton (Simples Rap'ortagem) são os músicos que se apresentarão esta semana. Uma mescla de MPB, rap e diferentes vertentes da black music prometem repetir  o sucesso da primeira noite do projeto, que teve casa cheia.
