If there were an award for "The Best Teaching Assistants in the World of 2D & 3D Animation and Design Critique," it would obviously go to our fabulous TAs here at School of Motion. (We're admittedly a bit biased, but it's true!) In all seriousness though, we're super hyped to say that not one, but TWO of our fabulous TA squad had work nominated for this year's Motion Awards! |
We also have a small team of Student Mentors, who are like Super TAs, and you'll be seeing more content from them in the near future! In this helpful tutorial, Student Mentor Matthew Corrales guides you through the process of concepting, designing and animating a logo based on your own initials, which is a great way for designers to brand themselves. |
While he's not part of our TA squad, guest host Southern Shotty gave us a great overview of 3D software Blender, and how it's lately become much easier to learn. With powerful features like Grease Pencil, a 3D sculpting tool set, a built-in node-based compositing system and more, it's become a serious contender - it's time to give it another look! |
We've spent a lot of this email talking about our teaching assistants. That's because we believe - scratch that; we know - that getting structured feedback from industry professionals helps our students make amazing strides in a stunningly short time. If you're still at the beginning of your design and animation journey, it's a great time to remind you that two of our fundamentals courses have another session starting up on February 6th. (Yes, that's Monday!) There's still time for you to join the 20,000+ students & alumni from around the world who have changed their lives with our courses and structured critique from our team of talented teaching assistants. |
