Chord Progressions: Part 1 Hey Fernando, Having a few chord progressions under your belt is a great idea to understand some of the harmony that happens in Country music. The Chords are quite simple and easy to memorize. Take a look at two different ways to play the progression in this lesson. Example 1 uses simple chords in a traditional manner. This provides the foundation for the melody of a song as well as other guitar parts. These are just power chords with an added 6th. I'm also accenting the 3rd of the chord by hammering or sliding to the note.
