Hi there! Jared here from Sound Guitar Lessons with my weekly lesson for you. This video is an introduction to the bebop scale. The bebop scale was often used by jazz players in the bebop era, which began in the 1940s. The bebop scale is different than other scales because we can't play any of the notes whenever we want to. Instead, we should target certain notes at specific points in time. By the end of the lesson, you'll know what the bebop scale is, why it's different than other scales, and how to improvise with it over three common chord types.
